Meet Our Owners Alicia and Daniel
Alicia is a Graduate of UW-Milwaukee where she majored in Business/Marketing. She was in the Army National Guard for 3 years with the 32nd MP Co. Alicia worked in the restaurant industry throughout college and her young professional life. While working at Cubanitas, she met her current business partner Daniel Schwartz. They completely systemized Cubanitas and grew its sales nearly 75% from 2017-2022, a restaurant which was once a "mom and pop operation". In 2021 Alicia and Dan bought two Toppers Pizza franchises in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI. After a year of operations they expanded and acquired five more locations across the Twin cities areas and took operating partners. Alicia and Daniel both also invested in CoolVu glass and surface solutions in 2023, where they own territories in Milwaukee, The Villages and Tampa.
Daniel graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 with a degree in History and a minor in Real Estate. Daniel went straight into business after college. Daniel got his start in franchising and partnered with two others to open up 7 Jimmy Johns Franchise locations in Wisconsin and Colorado. Daniel also currently owns Cubanitas Oak Creek and operates a small Real estate Investment company, primarily focusing on condominium rentals as well as residential redevelopment. In 2021, Daniel partnered with Alicia Haase to acquire two Toppers Pizza Franchises in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI. In July of 2022, Daniel and Alicia acquired five units in the Minneapolis market.

With over a decade of experience in the construction industry, Slade Auel offers a profound understanding of building techniques, inherited from ten generations of builders. His expertise began to take shape on notable sites like the Nike World Headquarters and the Portland Rose Gardens, where he learned the value of durable construction.
Throughout his career, Slade has mastered various construction disciplines, from framing to finishing. His passion for sustainability and energy efficiency was sparked by the capabilities of spray foam insulation to enhance eco-friendliness in building practices.
Today, Slade is a recognized expert in spray foam insulation, celebrated for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence. He applies his extensive knowledge to both new and retrofit construction projects, ensuring superior quality and craftsmanship.
Outside the professional realm, Slade is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest. His commitment to the environment extends beyond his work, driving his advocacy for sustainable building practices.
